Thank you Mr. President Obama for bringing up the case of Mr. Tissainayagam’s case in the open. In Sri Lanka he is charged under the EMERGENCY REGULATIONS-PREVENTION OF TERRORISM ACT. “By contributing or collecting or obtaining information or donating funds for the purpose of terrorism through the collection of funds from the magazine, which is an offence punishable under the Emergency Regulations.” His matter is before the Courts in Sri Lanka. And like the US, there is a separation between the Judiciary and the Legislative branches. So we hope and pray the matter will be settled very soon. But now let’s look at the case of Mr. Sami-a- Haj. He was at the wrong place at the wrong time. He was an Al-Jazeera cameraman, who was captured in the Pakistan-Afghanistan border 5 years ago, tortured, jailed in GUANTANAMO Bay, and just released after President Obama took office-namely on may 17th.So Mr. President you seemed to be poorly advised on this matter!
